Perfect surface treatments: What is needed, where is needed, how it should be done

To simply say “sandblasting” is a bit simplistic, when angular metal abrasives are used (steel grit) and inert minerals (garnet), in various grit sizes depending on the work specification, required finish grade, base material, in manual or semi-automatic turbine systems, able to ensure any engraving profile of the workpiece, from micro-sandblasting to macro-sandblasting with profile range Rz 20-80 μm and more.

Our technicians perform all required quality controls in compliance with reference standards, including for example: ISO8502-4, ISO8501/1-3, ISO8503-1/5, ISO8503-2, ISO8502-3, ISO8502-6&9. NACE RP0287 - SSPC-SP5, SSPC-SP10, SSPC-SP7, SSPC-SP16 ASTM D4417 – ASTM D4940

INSPECTIONS, CHECKS AND TESTS


All COMMI processes are verified by NACE Level 3 and INAC certified inspectors, who play the very important role of ensuring compliance with the specifications requested by the Customer and compliance with the coating / painting protocols, guaranteeing the perfect outcome of the work and the relative quality of the final product, in strict compliance with the relevant sector regulations in force.
The results of this meticulous inspection, if required, are provided together with the product in a report which can be used as a Warranty Certificate.

COMMI's technicians also provide customers with advice and expertise to define the exact coating / painting specifications, based on inspections and analysis of each individual case and requirement.

Our NACE Level 3 certified experts perform on-site inspections and appraisals in order to assess the causes of any deterioration and to study restoration specifications suitable to the environmental operating conditions.
