On high- and medium-voltage installations since 1986
Since 1986 COMMI has carried out maintenance on high- and medium-voltage stations, substations and electrical equipment up to 420 kV, with planned and breakdown interventions performed directly at the client’s installations, in Italy and abroad.
Activities include equipment maintenance, functional checks, instrumental checks and measurements, testing, and the installation and commissioning of new HV equipment.
Supply and Installation of New HV Equipment
Alongside its maintenance activities, COMMI supplies and installs new equipment for high-voltage installations, in cooperation with a leading international manufacturer.
The supply may include HV circuit breakers, current transformers (CTs) and voltage transformers (VTs), in accordance with the technical characteristics and requirements defined for each project.
COMMI can complete the supply with installation, checks, commissioning and technical support, integrating the new equipment into the existing installation.

On-Site Services
COMMI works directly at stations, substations and industrial plants, scheduling activities according to the condition of the equipment, maintenance plans and the operating requirements of the installation.
Planned Maintenance
Scheduled work on HV/MV equipment, including general condition checks, maintenance of mechanical and electromechanical components, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments and the checks required by the maintenance programme and the applicable documentation.
Work can be carried out under planned maintenance agreements, with a schedule agreed with the client.
Breakdown Maintenance and Emergency Response
In the event of a fault or anomaly, COMMI organises an emergency response at the installation: fault finding, functional checks, measurements and tests, and remedial work according to the fault found and the condition of the equipment.
COMMI keeps first-response materials and kits in stock.
Checks and Testing
Functional and instrumental checks, measurements and tests defined according to the type of equipment and the project requirements, including the checks required before return to service.
On request, diagnostic checks with a technical assessment report.
SF₆ Analysis and Handling
Checks and work on SF₆ equipment and, where required, gas analysis, verification of pressure and of the related monitoring devices, leak detection, recovery, treatment and refilling in accordance with the applicable requirements.
HV/MV Substation Maintenance
COMMI carries out maintenance and inspection on the equipment that makes up HV/MV stations and substations, defining the work and the checks according to the type of equipment, the conditions found and the applicable technical documentation.
Where We Work
Power Generation and Distribution
HV/MV electrical stations and substations.
Steel Plants
Electrical substations serving the production plants.
Industrial Sites
HV/MV customer substations and switch rooms within the production site.
Metalwork and Surface Restoration
As part of substation maintenance, and where required by the project, COMMI also restores deteriorated metal parts and painted surfaces.
The work may include removal of degraded parts and non-adherent paint, surface preparation and cleaning, followed by application of the specified protective system, carried out on site by COMMI teams.
This activity combines electromechanical expertise with COMMI’s experience in surface preparation and industrial anti-corrosion treatments.
When More Extensive Maintenance Is Required
When the condition of the equipment requires more in-depth work, COMMI carries out overhaul, repair and refurbishment, working on mechanical and electromechanical components and subjecting the equipment to the checks and tests required before return to service.
Qualified to Work on HV/MV Installations
Work is assigned to personnel trained for the tasks involved and for the risks associated with electrical installations, in accordance with CEI 11-27 and, where applicable, CEI 78-17, with dedicated tooling, including for work on SF₆ equipment.

Every Job Leaves a Record
The activities performed and the specified checks and tests are recorded in line with the applicable procedures and the project requirements.
On completion, the documentation required by the agreement is issued, recording the work performed, the checks carried out and any components replaced.
